Global packaging solutions provider, Selig Group, is pleased to announce that Shaz Rashid has assumed the role of Vice President and General Manager, EMEIA. Selig Group’s Executive Vice President and General Manager, EMEIA Geoff Lu will be retiring on June 1st, and is supporting a smooth EMEIA leadership transition. Mr. Rashid’s appointment is part of a managed executive transition coordinated by Geoff Lu and Adam Sheridan, Selig’s President, over the past few years.

During his over a decade with Selig, Mr. Lu strengthened Selig’s EMEIA business unit to deliver differentiated products and best-in-class quality, service, and delivery to its customers. Through a customer-focused approach, and the acquisition of Manufacture Générale de Joints (MGJ), Mr. Lu grew Selig into the European closure liner market leader and partner of choice.

Mr. Rashid comes to Selig Group from Briar Chemicals, a global contract manufacturer serving the agrochemical sector, where he was the CEO. Prior to Briar, Mr. Rashid spent over 12 years with Synthomer Plc, a leading supplier of specialized chemicals, where he was Managing Director Middle East, Africa, and Americas. Mr. Rashid is a graduate of the University of Birmingham.
